Shining Light
The past month has been such a blessing for Out of Darkness! We had the honor of spending an entire weekend with the youth of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee reflecting upon the storms of life and finding direction and sanctuary through these storms, with the help of our faith, our brothers and sisters in Christ and our loving Savior. We also had the privilege of spending an afternoon with the students at St. Mary’s School in Ft. Walton Beach, and talk about letting the light of Christ shine out to the world…these students were amazing! They had the most angelic voices, and their unashamed singing, praising and excitement about their faith were truly inspiring to us! They are truly a light to the world and will remain in our hearts and in our prayers!
Taken from yesterday’s Gospel (Matt. 5:13-16):
Jesus said to his disciples:
“You are the salt of the earth.
But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned?
It is no longer good for anything
but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
You are the light of the world.
A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;
it is set on a lampstand,
where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your heavenly Father.”
Tomorrow night presents an opportunity for time with our Savior, reflecting upon the theme of this past weekend’s scriptures.
Join us if you can, tomorrow night, Feb 8th, 7pm, at Christ Our Redeemer in Niceville for…Worship Adoration: Let Your Light Shine
Hope to see you there!
God bless you!
